First of all, thank you for visiting my humble online journal.
Nowadays, it seems like blogs are a dime a dozen, and with every other form of social media imaginable, things can start to feel a little overwhelming, and well, redundant. Let’s face it, some people make a living out of blogging - so what can I add to the conversation?
How about I start by telling you why I chose a career in design. People may wonder why they should care about interiors, and spend any of their time and resources on all of this "stuff." Simply put, our living environment reflects who we are, much like how the clothes you wear are an expression of you and your personal style. Your living environment speaks volumes. It is a manifestation of your unique life story. It also has the power to affect your mood and state of mind, for better or for worse. That’s not to say that homes should be perfect. Seeking perfection will only frustrate and madden you, and I don’t recommend it!
But it is my belief that dwellings should be considered a priority, not an afterthought. Investing in the home and your surroundings is one of the best things you can do for yourself and your family. There is beauty all around us in the world, and the innate human desire to surround oneself with it at home. After all, this is where we spend much of our time, where we lay our heads at night, where friends and loved ones are brought together, where we eat, drink and make merriment! So why not make it a place that you love coming home to and that you are proud to share with others? This is my design philosophy, why I love doing what I do, and why I want to share it with others.
So stay tuned for my take on design and style inspiration, project updates, life’s little pleasures and more.
